A Brief History
1980
Super East Marketing was established and carried two flagship products - CASIO wristwatches and CANON cameras.
1985
Expanded its product line to include CASIO musical instruments.
1988
CANON camera sales started to increase significantly. CANON cameras became a by-word in the Philippine camera industry.
1992
Started the Canon Week roadshow, an annual event featuring showcase of cameras, photo exhibit and studio setup where customers are assisted and coached by professional photographers when they buy any Canon camera. A technical camera clinic provides advice and minor services to Canon users. Various photo seminars are offered for kids, beginners and advanced users.
1997
Received Regional Top Distributor Award for excellent performance in achieving highest growth in sales value for 1997/1996.
Received Excellent Performance award for achieving 3rd Best Turn Around Days in 1997.
Received Regional Top Achievement Award for achieving highest growth in lens shutter cameras for 1997/1996.
1998
SUPER EAST ASIA ENTERPRISES, INC. was formed to take the place of the retired Super East Marketing and carry on the Philippine distributorship of CANON cameras.
1st showroom and service center started operation in downtown Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Received Regional Top Distributor Award for achieving highest growth in SLR quantity for 1998/97.
Received Commemorative Award for achieving target total (G7) ave. repair / day / tech 5pcs. in 1998 result.
Received Ideas Award for excellent performance in the area of advertising and promotion 1998.
Established 2nd showroom in the country’s most popular shopping mall (SM Megamall).
1999
Received Regional Top Distributor Award for excellent performance in the area of advertising and promotion 1999/1998.
Received Regional Top Distributor Award for excellent performance in L/S category for 1999.
Received Achievement Award for achieving camera sales target value for 1999.
Established 3 more showrooms in SM North EDSA, SM Southmall, and SM Cebu.
2000
Established 2 more showrooms in SM Iloilo, and SM Manila.
2001
Established 8th showroom in SM Davao.
